Is it overstay visa or not?
Come to the U.S. on a J‑1 visa for three months, which thats visa expired2015 , and before j1 visa expired applied to school in 2015 and were accepted, switching to F‑1 status. First attended an English school, then later completed a master’s degree. While studying for the master’s program in 2019, got married and applied for a marriage‑based green card. After the interview the case was denied and they were given 33 days to leave, but before that deadline they filed a VAWA I‑360 and a new I‑485, keeping them in authorized stay. Three years ago traveled outside the U.S. for one month and returned using Advance Parole, and since then have remained in the U.S. with a pending VAWA case, a pending I‑485, an EAD, and prima facie status.
that’s the story is this making that individual ever stay over their visa? asking because want to use AP but recent news is making nervous

hello my good friends I received NTA from court and master hearing is scheduled this month for my affirmative asylum application from back in 2017 and I have pending u visa application from year 2020 January and I received bona fide determination on my u visa application
so anybody have recently court with my same situation and what’s outcome ? I ask judge to administrative close on my case or terminate
I-130 August–October 2025 Approvals – Any Updates?
Hi everyone! Has anyone with an I-130 filed in August, September, or October 2025 received an approval recently?
My PD is October 17, 2025, IOE, Texas Service Center, and it has now been almost 10 months with no update.
I’d really appreciate it if anyone with a similar timeline could share their approval date or any recent update. Thank you! 🙏
vawa greencard interview
who has recently attended a vawa gc interview? I heard they now ask you to bring all docs submitted for vawa and ask questions related to marriage and abuse suffered. also who here has had gc approved recently. my vawa was approved about 13 months ago and last update is finger print applied,, I see some people got updates about an interview
humanitarian reinstatement

the petitioner has passed away on 2016 but she has died out of America and we have not notified NVC or USCIS cuz we thought that the case has been closed forever since we was unaware about humanitarian reinstatement. however, the case has normally goes through the NVC process and the PD became current on 2017, the case got terminated on 2019 under section INA203g (abondand case) then got destroyed by NVC and on USCIS shows NOIT.
my question is could we submit a humanitarian reinstatement now? and is the termination for abandoned case will make an issue? or since the termination happened after the petitioner died so it will not affect?
we just recently knows about the HR request and we are qualified for the requirements.
