My further rocess is not allowed by NVC
My F4 Immigrant Visa petition (Case Number: KDU2014******). My Priority Date is December 17, 2010, and my country of chargeability is Nepal. According to the September 2026 Visa Bulletin, the Final Action Date for F4 Worldwide has advanced to October 22, 2011. My priority date is now fully current. However, when I try to log into the CEAC portal using my Invoice ID ********, I receive the message: "Please be advised that the case that you have attempted to access is not eligible for further processing..." So What to do?
Adice/needed
Good day. USCIS sent me a notice to appear for an interview on the 3rd.
The first interview was for my I-360/I-485. My spouse and I were not able to attend that interview. The second interview was scheduled around the time I had started my VAWA application because of the abuse I experienced. My lawyer sent USCIS a letter explaining the situation, and they cancelled the interview.
Now, USCIS has sent me another notice to appear for my I-485 interview. My husband and I are no longer together, although we are not legally divorced yet. At this point, I have nothing to do with him or the marriage.
My lawyer advised me that it would be better for me to attend the interview and said she will accompany me. However, I’ve been seeing reports about ICE arresting people at USCIS offices, and honestly, I’m worried and unsure about what to do.
What do you guys think? Has anyone been in a similar situation, especially with a VAWA case? Should I attend the interview with my lawyer?
Prima facie
Hii Guys!! Good day
I finally got my work permit in the mail 💃🏽 I’m so grateful to everyone that responded on here to me about avenues to help move things faster.
Now I have another question. I applied for my VAWA in 2023. I have not gotten any Prima Facie letter at all other than my case has been moved to a different location. Should I be worried about this? or do I need to reach out?
Thank you to everyone!
Remarrying While VAWA Is Pending: Can You Continue Working on Your Existing C09 EAD?
If you remarried a U.S. citizen while your VAWA-based I-360 and I-485 were still pending, what exactly happened to your existing work authorization?
Did you continue working while your new marriage-based I-130, I-485, and I-765 applications were pending?
My understanding is that remarriage does automatically dismiss a pending VAWA case; also the applicant must formally withdraw it. However, if you withdrew your VAWA petition, did your existing C09 work authorization remain valid temporarily because USCIS had not yet processed the withdrawal or closed the VAWA-based I-485?
More specifically, were you legally permitted to continue working with the existing, unexpired C09 EAD until USCIS formally terminated the underlying VAWA-based I-485 or approved the new marriage-based EAD?
The new application would be based on marriage to a U.S. citizen. I have consulted several attorneys, but I have not been able to get a clear and consistent answer. I would especially appreciate hearing from anyone who personally went through this situation.
7 months after Greencard Interview
EB-3 Other Workers, my priority date is August 2021. Green card interview February 25th, 2026, seven months ago with no decision yet, this was my second interview, had an informal one back in 2024 too when they called my wife to her interview. Brought an I-485 Supplement J to both interviews for portability under 204j, and in August that Supplement J got administratively closed in both cases, my attorney says this usually doesn’t mean denial or approval. We already sent one case inquiry through our senator/congressman and plan to send another in October. Has anyone been through this? How long did you wait after your interview? does a Supplement J take this long to review? is seven months of silence normal for EB-3 Other Workers right now? does it mean it will be denied? and did a senator/congressman case inquiry actually help speed things up for anyone? Any info helps, this wait has been really tough on us. I am open for any advice!
Help Needed
Need advice from anyone who has been in a similar situation — STEM OPT pending and need to file i-140 through Eb-3 unskilled advice from anyone who has gone through something similar.
My initial OPT has expired, and my STEM OPT extension application has been pending for about 4 months. I am currently working based on the applicable employment authorization rules while my STEM OPT application is pending.
At the same time, I have an EB-3 Unskilled employment-based green card process underway. My PERM/labor certification has been approved, and I am planning to file my I-140 before the end of October.
My main concern is:
Could filing the I-140 while my STEM OPT application is still pending negatively affect my STEM OPT application or F-1/STEM OPT status?
Has anyone here personally gone through this situation — having a pending STEM OPT application while filing an EB-3 I-140?
If you have experienced this yourself, or if you have any knowledge from an immigration attorney/DSO regarding this situation, I would really appreciate hearing about your experience.
Thank you in advance for any advice or suggestions!
F3 approved today! 14 years of waiting
Hi everyone! I’ve been following others’ timelines and it was helpful to soothe my anxiety, so here’s mine.
- My F3 priority date is April 12, 2012, and it became current as of the visa bulletin of July 2026.
- My I130 was approved in 2017.
- I filed my I485 on October 2025.
- I had my biometrics done on November 2025, when I had the first FTA0 (three on that same day; I considered them as one).
- The second FTA0 was an update on May 11, 2026, and the message changed to “currently processing.”
- The third FTA0 was on September 1, 2026, but there were no new updates; it pointed back to the May 11 update.
- On September 10, there were two silent updates with a few hours apart.
- Twenty-four hours later, my case was approved on September 11, 2026, with two H008.
- We had a few other silent updates in June, July, and August.
Nothing else happened apart from that. No RFE, no interview, nothing. Just a bunch of silence, anxiety and prayers.
May God bless all of us 🙏🏻
