Application was APPROVED in approximately 6 Months
Hi everyone,
I’d like to share some information and ask a few questions. Are there any members here who have an MSC26 receipt number, meaning the application was submitted during Fiscal Year 2026?
I would like to ask:
1. Besides the status “Case Was Updated to Show Fingerprints Were Taken,” has anyone with an MSC26 receipt number received any other updates? If so, what was the exact wording of the case status update?
2. Has anyone with an MSC26 receipt number received a biometrics update for the second time?
I’m asking because I found a case with receipt number MSC261175…….. that has already been approved. The case history is:
1. March 10, 2026: USCIS received the application and fees were waived
2. March 24, 2026: Case Was Updated to Show Fingerprints Were Taken
3. September 22, 2026: Case Was Approved
4. September 24, 2026: Card Was Mailed to Me
I’m wondering if anyone in this community is the owner of the MSC261175.. receipt number mentioned above.
This is particularly interesting because the application was approved in approximately 6 months. Does anyone know whether the applicant may have requested expedited processing or taken any other action that could have resulted in the case being processed more quickly?
If the owner of this case is in this group, I would really appreciate it if you could share your experience.

we issued a notice for your I - 485
I filled on Feb 3rd 2022,in July , I received rfe and responded by October 2025.i was scheduled for a biometric on December.on September 10 2026 ,I received another PF.And yesterday 25th 2026, I received a message on my case tracker that “ we issued a notice for your I-485”.please what does this mean ? anyone in that situation?
Got the update ‘ case required uscis to send notice ‘ this update was 3 months after second fingerprint update, anyone know what is it about? Is it a good sign?

On September 25, 2026, we issued a notice for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, Receipt Number Please follow the instructions.
What does this status mean? It changed today for my husband. I am the dependent applicant, and my case is still showing “Request for Initial Evidence Was Sent.
Is this for Interview or Biometrics or Approval?
