writ of mandamus
Would it be a good idea to file a mandamus lawsuit after receiving a “Fingerprints Were Taken” update for the second time on my I485 ( status changed to in process then)? Could this update mean that the case is actively moving forward, and would it be better to wait a little longer before filing? Has anyone had a similar experience?

i’d wait for at least 45 days to 90 days before i file a WOM. it’s normal for a case to take up to 90 days after the background check is refreshed and they’re actively working on it

I would advise waiting. My husband’s for the I-131 form fingerprints were taken a second time changed, and the approval came through 3 months later.
