kinda fully random. I got mine in 15 days after biometric (got approved with the EAD).. for only AP it can take longer, like can be even never approved till you get the GC :) but average is 6 months as I noticed from Reddit posts

In my case we filed on May 31, 2024, my wife got the combo card on december 18, 2024 and my online account show 5 months wait time for me to get my AP 😅

AP is difficult to predict as mine took more than 10 months to arrive
