i had my 140 approved on march/30... I’m also awaiting the NVC to be engaged... but mine is consular, and the interview will deppend on the reopen of consulates.... this may take a while

the due date for you to receive the notification may have passed already (usually 15 days). you can go to www.uscis.gov/e-request and start the NVC process that is up and running! but since no consulate is open or issuing visa... the interview may take a while to you

my case it take one month after uscis send it to nvc

Nothing happened! the lawyer said: “I would like to inform you that the USCIS site is not an accurate site for a timeline because it is not always updated as it should be. However, that is not even an issue in your case because your case was approved on March 4th, 2021. For your case, which is one out of thousands plus cases, to be sent to the NVC which is in New Hampshire from the state of Nebraska, it takes anywhere from 10-12 weeks. It takes this long, because thousands of cases are placed in thousands of boxes which are then loaded on a commercial truck which is loaded by about 4-5 men. With COVID, it is probably 1-2 men because USCIS no longer has contract workers employed due to budget constraints. However, once the truck is loaded, it is then driven to the NVC in New Hampshire. Once the truck with thousands of cases arrives at the NVC, it can sit a week or more because it is not the only truck being driven to the NVC, there are more than 10 USCIS offices that are transporting documents to the NVC. So, once your truck is open for unloading, it is only 1-2 men unloading a truck of thousands of boxes with thousands of cases. The boxes sit on a platform until 2 people can go through the boxes within an 8 hour working day, not including their lunch break, so about 7.5 hours only M-F, scanning the cases into the NVC system, then they are stored in the paper room until the case is reloaded in boxes to be mailed to the embassy abroad.” It’s really upsetting!!!

The system reached to a point where we had to congratulate one another for WL. the lawyer might as well give us contracting transport companies to honk the horn or wave when we see them. who knows the next 18 wheelers that I have to pass on the interstate could be my WL

it took almost two weeks for my case to update"case was approved and sent to Nvc". in fact, i had received the approval notice a week before but it was testerday that was reflected on the case status tool

my case approved on 22 August. and status chaned. on25 of sep. to. sent to department of state

@Ahmed, mailed civil documents to NVC assuming they find everything ok how soon should I expect to be dq. and is it an email or letter in the mail. the ceac shows complete and nothing more

update to All. NVC scheduled my interview for August 16 2021. the problem, it's the wrong location. misery continues. the funny part is I had given them an email from the desired post agreeing to take the case way before I was even DQed. they had one job, and only one job. to transfer the case to the right country. they messeed up pretty bad. I spent hours trying to get a hold of supervisor and scheduled a call back.

@david sorry for asking, but which country u are? most of the consulates are closed… i undestand that they messed up on your case (and I hope you can address the issue),
