I went to my local SS office and they help me with the process. I got it in the mail less than two weeks. They told me my information was not even in there system when I got there.

go to your local SSA office, I waited for over a month and nothing came so I went to look about it myself.

show up to your local social security office; with all the USCIS backlog, sometimes they fail to forward your information to the SSA. Worst thing that can happen is they say no.

I waited for 3 months after receiving my EAD because I had no information. All I had to do was go to SSN office and they sent it to my house in a week.

yes and it was horrible. I spent 4h in the line, and less than 1 minute with the attendant. He just made a copy of my GC, my passaport, stapled with the form that I filled up in the line and told me to wait till 2 week. Was definitely less than 1 minute

He even didn’t look to the computer, or put any of my information there. Just the papers and told me to wait 🙄

It was last Thursday no mail until now

I went last Tuesday , but the lady did. everything while I wanted and then gave me a receipt .

went Tuesday and got it the Saturday .

My experience is I got approved for EAD on July 20 - SSN did not arrive after a week, so I went to SSA myself. SS officer there said they did not receive my application through USCIS eventhough I ticked the box. So that was July 28, now I called to follow up and they said I have a SSN already, but I need to wait for the card in the mail. Still waiting till now.

@D, that’s not good.. They should have given you at least a receipt..

he definitely just made a copy of my documents, stapled with my form looked at me and said “u going to receive in it the mail in the next 2 weeks”. WAS EXACTLY LIKE THAT! Less than 1 minute 😂

The local office here - I asked for their number when I visited. You should maybe visit again, and just be extra extra nice hehe

Try going on a Wednesday or Thursday - and get there very early. Usually the lines will be fewer then.

Also, maybe why they didn’t type up your info is because they saw that you have a SSN in the system already? if that’s the case, you’ll receive it this week
