pls how long did your case took? to get approved, did you use a lawyer?

I submitted my application by myself April 1 st because I don’t work so I can’t afford a lawyer. I then received my receipt, saying they received my application three months later, . Then in June I got my appointment for biometric request and then August 17 I got my prima facia.

I did by myself too but they’re yet to reply me not even a receipt of Notice 🥹🥹🥹 can you help?? I filed since march

non -working social I never heard any things like that you need work permit for social I have my prima facia

Yeah, I went to the SSA office and they told me I have to go to children and family and they will provide me with a specifi form saying I am eligible for benefits and that I need a nonworking social in order to complete my application so it is possible.

You definitely do not need a work permit to get a non-work Social. I guess it all depends on where you’re located. I’m not sure.

Did you put a safe address on it or do you have it coming to your home address? The only thing I can say is try to reach out to them through letter again otherwise, if you need help, I can only help with like re-filing. I wish I could talk to you privately.

I submitted photos of the bruises, and my personal declaration. to provide our marriage is bonafide I submitted our joint bank account, photos, medical bill, phone bill etc showing we lived together. I didn’t have a police report or psychology evaluation

@ A F You do not need socials to get your drivers license in Florida. Just your Prima facie, notice of receipt for your i360, 2 proofs of address. If xou have a drivers license ftom your country you won’t need to do TSLAE, Xou would just write dour knowledge test and do the drivers test which will cost you $58 in all.

Oh wow, really. I don’t have a driver license from my home country as I came here at a young age. But I already took the TSLAE and passed on the first try. but I thought I needed the social that’s why I haven’t gotten it done. Thank you so much for clarifying that for me

@T Nguyen Florida, if it is your first DL you’ll hqve to take the knowledge exam and TSLAE then the drivers test, I dunno if the process is the same in all states but after you pass the drivers test it takes between 2 wks to 60 days for them to mail it to you because they have to verify your information with uscis.

@ Toni: I am in Fort Lauderdale, I need to renew my DL but when I went to dmv they ask me for Ssn for non working or letter of ineligibility. Ss Office still need to wotk on my application of ssn. But my DL will expire befor they have a decision. I am thinking about your way, that I will use all the AOS application to renew it.

@ T Nguyen go to the one in sunrise , they’ll use your i360 notice of receipt, proof of address and prima facie.

@ T Nguyen No! You have ro wait till you get your EAD and SSN then. If you’re not a vawa applicant, you can’t get DL without ssn.
