Vawa Greencard Interview Exerience
Hello Everyone. Today was my Vawa I485 interview day. I arrived on time all suited up! Went through security and checked in. Interviewer was a very nice and kind lady. She Swore me in and then asked me if I was aware of the case filed for AOS. She asked me to give her a brief summary of my vawa and then gave me my I485 file to go through and make any corrections. Of Course I made corrections answering Yes to working without authorization and violating non immigrant status. That was all. She gave me a paper stating that my case was being held for further review and I would be getting updates in the mail. Well, About an hour later, I got a status update😎😎😎 New Card Being Produced😎 Good Luck to everyone still in the process.
Update
25/08/2025: New card is being produced
26/08/2025: Case was approved
30/08/2025: Approval letter received in mail
02/09/2025: Card was mailed to me
05/09/2025: Card was delivered

For the vawa summary, I explained how we met, how we lived together, the abuse and how we separated. About the change of Yes/No questions, I just said very casually that I needed to modify some of my answers. There is actually one part of the I485 form which makes provision for updating your answers at the interview. You will have to sign after the change. I signed after the update. Hope this clarifies. @The great I filed I360 July 2021. Filed I485 Dec 2022. I360 approved Dec 2024. RFE medicals March 2025. Medicals sent June 2025. Interview August 2025. That’s my timeline.

hi , I have a question is very bothing me
If the officer asks for your current address, but you already moved and your new physical address is different from the one on your I-485, will it cause a problem if I tell them my new address?
