VAWA case
I am asking for a friend of mine. When he was in Jamaica applying for his visitors visa at the embassy, on his application he had stated that he is married of which he was not, however he was granted the visa but now he is married for real this time after arriving in the United States. He wants to file a waiver for misrepresentation of making that error about being married when in Jamaica. What are the chances of approval filing the waiver?

consult an immigration lawyer

an immigration lawyer is needed in this case because your friend has lied to a federal institution, and this should significantly impact his future immigration applications.

he defo need to consult a good lawyer. Visa deception is a serious issue that they can revoke his benefits or visa. Maybe he should work around it?
