VAWA- EAD and travel approved
was nervous with covid happening and watching processing times increase was very unsure whether the first two parts were going to make it within time frame... I kept looking community for answers and it looked bleak... im not sure if delays are case by case as VAWA is/or can be hard visa to get because of the proof of evidence that needs to go with it upon submission. Please try not compare yourself too much with others.
May 2021 submitted VAWA > received prima facie in July 2021 > Biometrics in August 2021 > Biometrics added in September 2021 > EAD and travel approved and being sent out Feb 2022... im totally excited- after 7yrs of enduring abuse and still enduring (from a distance) im so happy!
**due to circumstance my case is being looked into for possible expedite.

@chinita r ... it highly depends on solid evidence case by case and what your attorney has put forward/together for you... I dont think there is avantages here for any case, but evidence its extremely important.... i dont see myself as better than anyone elses experiences but I wonder too if I was considered more as a professional as well- in terms of education i am a phd... I am a psychologist and given a pandemic needed... also I am from a country that is considered sister to the U.S.... there are certain things that are taken into account but definitely unknown why I was processed within 10mths.

@chucks chachacha you may not be… all my cases were expedited, and are not following normal processing times due to humanitarian reasons.
normal processing (not expedited) is scheduled for Jan 2024.

it was in writing only, but only done through my lawyer - a lot of evidence to back up the request for expedite, like you would provide fully for the vawa applications…. I did not do anything. uscis considers approval or denial, case by case. They do not approve every request, in fact many do not get approved…. it all depends on whether your claim and evidence to expedite is solid, truthful and in absolute need. They do look into it for proof to claim.
I do not suggest to call to expedite. Seek a good attorney for assistance and have your attorney submit it in writing with evidence only. The Vermont Service Center, from what I understand, processes all requests via writing only.
