Good evening to all
My husband and I married in Istanbul in 2019. I submitted his I- 130 in January of 2020. It was approved and immediately sent to the NVC March 2021. We became DQ’d in October of 2021. We received and email September 2022 for his appointment that was EXACTLY a year after we were DQ’d. The Dr likes to take their time to send the results to the embassy, so be be discouraged if it says “refused” at first. Within 3 working days my husband’s visa went from refused to issued. I am a black American and my husband is from Ghana. I know it’s long and arduous, but don’t lose hope!!!!!!

Congratulations! One year after being DQd unfortunately seems like a miracle now a days. Glad it worked out for you. Did you expedite or transfer your case from Ghana?

No expedite nor transfers. Just waited it out in Ankara.

so it was not US embassy in Ghana? It was US embassy in Ankara. So it was 1 year because the embassy is not Ghana but in Turkey.
