Us consulate in Pakistan
hi,
does anyone know if reaching out to the congress helps? my case has been DQ for my husband. it’s been a couple months now and is waiting for an interview date? will reaching out to the congress help get a date faster?? anything would help

It will not but you should reach out so Congress can put some pressure on the embassy. I reached out to mine as well and they had a meeting with the embassy. The consular desk told them that they are expecting the embassy to be fully staffed by the end of the year and the backlog should be decreased. You should reach out so your congressman also put some pressure on them

my husband is also in Pakistan, we been DQ since December 2 2022. the wait and all is such a struggle. like idk wats wrong with islamabd and Pakistan lol…

I thought Pakistan had a 12-24 month wait after DQ
