U.S Citizen filing for Spouse
Hello family,
I need help. I applied form I-130 and form I-130A at the same time in November 30th, 2023. USCIS responded to me that they received my case and gave me the receipt number in the same day. on January 3rd, 2024, I received a letter said, « My case is actively being reviewed by USCIS. » From that date, nothing has changed. I start worrying about my case. How can I expedite my case? My wife will give birth very soon. Now, I don’t know what to do. Anyone here has/had similar case. I can use your advices. than you

you have to talk to a lawyer and tell them your case but mostly you must wait one year because my case is the same but unfortunately I am not having a baby yet my case is I-130 but I think they can help you wish you luck

lol I’ve had the “received case and receipt number sent” since August 2023, I wouldn’t stress, it’s all just a mind game to them 🙄

everything is going as normal. When they say your file is being actively reviewed it means it founds its way into a pile.

my 130 has been “received” for 13 months. its normal.

your reason for expediting has to fall into one of their categories. I tried to expedite and was denied. PD Dec 3 2023. I just gave birth to my son in April and unfortunately they don’t consider that priority.

my daughter is almost 3years .. we filed after my wife conceived ... been waiting 14months now after D'Qed
