yes you can, I’ve seen people out status traveling domestically, however for those out of status, be careful.. immigration official are prensent in airports even though the risk is very low, it’s something to consider about.

Richard what do you mean by out of status?

out of status doesn’t mean their ID is expired. they can use states ID that still valid or even foreign passport that still valid

out of status could be their visa is expired or they are illegally present in the United States. but for domestic flights you can even use your drivers license.
