I think when you come back you need to use your AP document, because you have a pending adjustment of status you cannot longer be admitted as a tourist.

Before I went for the interview today, earlier when I got the travel document my attorney cautioned me for traveling he said immigration may claim I abandoned my case. I had b1/b2 visa. But I have a friend who went home and came back on travel parole.

I use my advance parole left for Jamaica December 24came back Jan 3rd all I did was finger print they carried me to a room for 5 mins they ask me for my approval notice stamp my passport said welcome home. you can go. my husband didn’t make any sense coming with me lol he couldn’t even come in the room with me. just don’t stay over 3 weeks. my lawyer Bernstein gave me go ahead back them someone sued them for not letting them in the country.

@shana Arielle when I was returning Monday on my AP a lot people there was using it even people who had cases at court man was there got lock up 3 times they was reminding him that he don’t get his green card yet why getting in trouble. they was so nice

just use your AP passport I use was renewed my visa wasn’t even in that passport they didn’t ask me about a visa although I walked with my old passport.

I have same situation as you @t c. the difference is only my visa is F1 valid till 2023 and I am on F1 stem opt currently. having same questions as you have. I have pending i485

@latoya Did you overstayed your visa? I mean you applied for AOS within 6 months stay (i94 valid) ?

@sam Singh I came march 2020 my 6 months was up September 17 2020 and I was Married October 2020 yes I overstayed

@sam Singh just make sure advance parole on it please walk with all your approval notice they asked me for them thank god I carried them.

@sam they told me next time am traveling give immigration work permit plus approval i1485 approval notice so it easier for me. u going to go to the road. I spend less than 10 minutes in there

@Latoya allow me to interject, what Sam has is the advance parole and probably the notices showing the immigration received his documents. Approval of 1-485 means he has gone for the interview and the greencard has been approved.

I’m BACK! I traveled to Brazil using my advance parole for the first time! The trip was amazing … I saw my family and friends and stayed in my old city for 3 weeks. On my return to 🇺🇸 they only asked me (after stamping my passport ) where did I travel, how long I stayed there and why do I have the parole … welcome home!! nothing to fear!
