Travel document approved after 8months still waiting on interview for I485 family based.
Travel document approved after 8months still waiting on interview for I485 family based. before I was on asylum. Is it ok to travel back to my home country? I have already wrote to the asylum office to withdraw my case. it’s been 8 years since I last visited my home country due to genuine reasons but my dad is very sick and he wants me to come. share your thoughts. thanks and good luck!

it’s best to check with lawyer otherwise it may effect u r I-485 application .

I haven’t received it yet but it does stated documents produced. thanks my lawyer says yes you can travel but others says online it’s not recommended but I will be traveling with my wife though

my lawyer wrote a letter to asylum office months ago but we haven’t heard anything from them yet and my lawyer said it before that they have such a huge backlog that we might not hear anything from them

Ok than leave every thing up to Allah swt .He is best carer of all affairs. we pray Allah swt grant kamil shifa to your father . It’s every tuff for both parents to stay away from son for so long time . I hope you have safe and happy journey.

I haven’t heard anything as of yet. it’s been 5 months since my lawyer wrote to the asylum office to withdraw my case but until now no updates and I am still waiting on my GC interview. PD Oct 14th 2021.

it was a connecting flight cuz there isn’t any airline going directly to pakistan. trust me don’t worry if u have a valid travel document and don’t have any criminal background.
