@Taquiah and @Marc Louis. Someone should assist me on this please. I have missed my family. I wish to travel to see my family with my I-131 travel documents since my I-485 is still pending. But I have been afraid because my friend said it's not safe for me because the immigration will ask me many questions at the port of entry and will deny me access to enter. I have missed my family. Someone who had traveled with I-131 should talk to me here please and I will appreciate.

@ven ven you can travel with your parole. your friend is telling you bullshit. I’ve travelled three times with my parole and I’m planning on traveling with it soon again.
V V7 de ago de 2022
@Y E, did the immigration asked you some questions at the port of entry on your returning ? Secondly, what if my visa had expired before traveling. Does it have any implications? Lastly, do I need to show any prove or reasons why I want to travel?

@ven the only question asked was my house address. secondly you expired visa or over staying doesn’t have any implications. lastly: all you need to show them is your passport and advance parole documents

Oh okay. Thanks so me @Y E

hey @ven , so I traveled out of the US to my home country with AP (i-131) and stayed for 2 months. When I was returning I had to go through additional security check and that was it. No problem, so you should be good.
marc Louis7 de ago de 2022
@Ven I didn’t travel yet
marc Louis7 de ago de 2022
but I’m going to on October,before get into this platform I was scared too to travel,but now I’m not anymore
marc Louis7 de ago de 2022
it does make sense that’s why they give you the parole
V V7 de ago de 2022
@Marc Louis, yes, a friend was telling me that his friend was denied access on returning at Port of Entry. Though that was during Trump regime
marc Louis7 de ago de 2022
not all of the laweyer knows good infos about advance of parol,because someone told me (a lawyer)I can only travel to my home Country with my parole,which is faulse,the parol said you come at any us border,that’s mean from any countey

@Uros Jovanovic, I appreciate. So the security check is it all about if you have failed any law in US or just criminal background check?
V V7 de ago de 2022
@Marc Louis, can we chat on messenger if you don't mind?

They brought me in a separate room after passport control and they asked me where am I coming from, how long did I stay, what was the reason for my trip and do I have anything do declare. In the meantime they did somekind of a check (possibly to see if my 485 application is pending) and that was it. lasted about 30 min. I don’t think they did the criminal check because that maybe takes longer (days), but I am not sure.
V V7 de ago de 2022
@Uros Jovanovic thank you. One more thing please. Like how long do you think it's best to stay outside the US without having problems when the ask at the port of entry? Or best answer to give me them like 1 or 2 months? Secondly, what's the best reason to give them why I traveled? Like best answer to give me. Lastly, what did they mean if you have anything to declare? Please I will appreciate if you advice me on the above questions. Thanks as I await your response or anybody could respond to me equally.

ven ven so according to my lawyer you can stay out if the US up to 6 months with AP, so I stayed for 2 months and came back. The reason I gave at the port of entry was to visit my fsmily because I haven’t seen them for more than 3.5 years. Anything to declare-are you bringing anything from your home country, like food or drinks or anything like that.
marc Louis8 de ago de 2022
@Uros thanks for the infos
