this might be a dumb question but does anyone know if you apply for financial aid for college will it affect your immigration case? I know you can’t really ask for government assistance when going through immigration process.

that’s if your school allows you to file for it with evidence that you applied for GC or naturalization. it’s school by school. my school did not allow that

I live in Lancaster California. at least one year California residence to get financial aid there.

it think it depends on school requirements if you can apply financial without gc. but it will not affect your case if they grant you to get financial aid.
