I have the same problem. My EAD arrived last Wednesday and I have not received yet my SSN Card. I will go to my social security office to check because I see most of people getting their social 2 or 3 days after.

Diane, I'll wait for 1-2 more days then I'll do the same. and Ajoke, no I didn't. it was surprisingly fast! only 1 month for me to get EAD

go to the sss office in your neck of the woods , if it isn’t already on the way they will let you apply and you get it in 5 business days

yes , they will tell you if uscis already requested it on your behalf or if you would need to go ahead and request it yourself based on your permit

simply go to yr ssn office if they didn't send you in mail they will issue but if they already send it they will let you know we go for our ssn card as he put our information he said its already issue wait for 2 weeks and we got in mail but they issue cards for our kids

how long did it take for you to receive the receipt after submitting your EAD application?

No I did not submit any medical documents with the documents. when I was going for the fingerprint they just told me to bring the letter I got that’s all. So do you think I should go ahead and do the the medical without them asking for it.

@momo 3 days @Sandy I would wait. I didn't submit mine as well. the medical docs have time limit. if by the time you get interview for i-485 and the time limit is over, you have to redo it. I received notice to bring the medical docs to the interview so I'm going to wait.

os So - no I finally had to go to SSA and apply for one. They said it would be mailed within 14 business days. I'm still waiting for it.

you can try to check your status here. just fill out the A number and date of birth. if you see status “Returned to agency” that means you probably should receive it soon or at least just call a local sea to clarify it. hi. there you can check all your applications for SSN or DMV (probably DHSS too) yes it is an official uscis website.

if it shows the status “Returned to agency” it means this system verified your application and after that for any questions you should to reach out to your agency (ssa, dmv, etc.)
