I’m in the same situation I’m received EAD the same day but I’m still waiting for my SSN 😏

I received green card more than a month and no SSN and I paralegal said she did apply for it but SSA said they have to verify my document don't know what to do

so frustrating 😬

regardless if you have a job or not, you have EAD, and it allows you to work and get ssn

the point is they won’t even set an appointment or tell the number 😩

hey guys, we called SSN office again today and somehow they set an appointment for me for tomorrow, they also asked me if I need a SSN printout (it’s not an actual card, it’s just a number) you can request it if you need to file taxes or get an insurance, they will deliver it in 3 days. in case someone needs just number you can request it over the phone and provide your address, they will send it to you

yes they can’t provide the SSN number over the phone, but they can mail the SSN printout to your home address

yes, they asked my first and last name and DOB then said that my SSN was established on Feb 25th (day the EAD was approved)

that’s weird that they refuse to send you a printout

hahaha she told me the same she don’t use the word established she said we approved on February 25th maybe here in Baltimore the office is different, she told me wait until March 31 if you don’t receive give us a call, and she told me sometimes receive the SSN will be 4 weeks.

EAD or GC, your ID or Passport and filled form (you can find it on a SSN website)
