my card was produced on 9/29 but no sign of SSN yet. I will call them on Monday and schedule an appointment. I will tell them it's been more than 2 weeks.

they said uscis is responsible and they wont interfere

my ead was delivered on Sept 13. they mailed me the social security card on Wednesday this week.

thats too late. so basically have to wait 3-4 weeks

call local SSA office and find out if an Ssn was ever processed for you. if it wasn’t, book an appointment to get one.

I called for the Same reason and they said wait for 2 weeks. because they don't want to issue two numbers which would be problematic later on

they said the same thing to me. but timelines keep on changing. one time they said 2 weeks, then 3 weeks and now 4 weeks

it's said on the website of SSA that you should contact and book an appointment for SSN if you don't receive withing 8 days of receiving EAD.

So I called SSA office, they said USCIS is backlogged these days and taking 1 month to provide docs to SSA to issue SSN. I told them I got a job offer and can't wait for it, so please expedite. So they collected my information and told me I'll get a call back this week for appointment. Let's seeee now

same here they collected my info and said within a week they would try to get me an appointment. btw same day social wont be given. so another week!

they took my birth certificate, passport and EAD card copy and i filed for the ss in front of him. it was 3 mins in total. and i applied for the card and they told me i would receive the card in 5-10 days

did you apply for one in person today? i did. and they told me within 5-10 days it will be mailed

yes. they told me I didn't have any appointment today even though I gotta call. I had to wait 2 hours outside. this was really unprofessional on their part

i received a letter yesterday. it just said applied for ss. and the date too was wrong on it :/ whatever. i assumed 2 more weeks
