Social Security Number
Hi everyone,
Any of you have applied for a SSN? How long does it take for you to get one?
I have applied for a SSN a month ago and until now I did nor receive anything. I have a receipt and called the office yesterday. They told me that they are still waiting for the Department of Homeland Security to verify my information.

it's when your work permit is approved that they will produce your social security card... the two can come together or one arrives, just after other

@king king they approved my working permit on January. After I recieved it, my lawyer told me to apply for a SSN. A month ago I went to the Social security office.

maybe you don't asked on the form l-765 . so you have to fill SSN form to get it... or call uscis

you of to contact the homeland security near to you then they will send over your information to the ssn office if not you gonna be waiting
