On purpose, sadly. Our only hope is if they donate all those visas in the last quarter to us; we are doomed.

@Sylvester Tanning this category barely gets 7.5-8k instead of 10k allocated, but this year the waste is going to be insane.

that was the whole agenda from this administration so far, changing stuffs up to have excuses for delay and visa waste disguised as extra vetting.

This is a repeating pattern.. same thing was done in his first term.. embassies closed down, USCIS offices were not working to quarter of their capacity and nothing moved. By the time he leaves and all his bans are rescinded.. all categories will retrogress back to 2020

does the data contain only 485 AOS? how about CP number?

Between Feb and Jan, they approved only 102 green cards, that average out to ~1k2 green cards/year. High chance they will wast 7k-8k visa this year.

they get 140k quota for employment based category altogether and if they decide not to approve eb3 unskilled cases those green cards will not waste but directly move towards eb3 skilled or eb2 and I think that’s what happening atm. all other eb category are getting approval really fast
