RTD Category Issue!
Hi, everyone,
Today I received my Refugee Travel Document after waiting 14 months. However, I noticed that the Class/Category field still shows “ASYLEE,” even though I became a Lawful Permanent Resident on April 15, 2026, before the RTD was issued. It seems inconsistent, and I am unsure whether this could cause any issues in the future.
Has anyone experienced something similar or have any advice on what I should do? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

this is pretty normal you are getting a refugee document so it must say that you are an asylee

@SPECIALIST American Dream I hear you, but two of my friend their category printed as PERMANENT RESIDENTS despite similar situations. That's why I am confused.

@Reza’s Journey if they file I-131 while in asylum status should say asylee if they file while permanent resident it should say permanent resident whatever status they had when they filed but it really doesn’t matter
