mine got terminated 2-3 weeks . it’s depends on ICE and how busy they are , some cases take few months.

I did file it 2 weeks ago. I do have an attorney, she educated me about the process, just the waiting to get the motion signed by ICE AND. then send it to the immigration judge to have him sign it. but there is no such experience about the processing time for all that. some people got it done in 1 month, others in 6 months 😭

my case was in the asylum office NYC it was administratively close 2018 and I was put in removal proceedings Sep 2019

@yo sin.. one question.. i got confused.. what the difference about sent to ICe or to the court? 🤔 if you are in removal procedings ( deportation in absentia) .. the correct should be sent to court .. right?

yes correct but once you be in the deportations process ICE will receive your file and to have them get rid of your file, you should include them with the motion for termination

I applied for mine 2 weeks ago some people got it done within 1 months others within 3 months depends if you have attorney have him to check with ice if it passed 30 days

when you send motion to terminate there is 2 ways: either by mail which is take longer and you just recieve a letter that the motion accepted and wait for the result or your attorney can submit the motion on (E service) this is a portal for attorneys only and also they will receive a notification that ICE recieved your motion also the notification will be sent by email to ur attorney for example: my attorney once she submitted, she sent me screenshot of the E service notification that they recieved the motion it’s a waiting time game only but should not take more than 1-3 months

once the ICE approve the motion they send it to the immigration court and then another wait time. the only thing u can check is : your immigration case the one in the court that you trying to terminate use this link to check your case by using the A number, if the court did any update on ur case you should see something on this link https://acis.eoir.justice.gov/en/

i remember i asked her about how she was going to send it and if i would have a receipt.. she said no.. it would be online…So let me see if i understand.. first she ll sent to ICe and then to immigration court.. I thought that was only to court where I was ordered for removal..😩. OMG. lot information …

ICE will send it to the court after they accept it

no she send to ICE it’s called (joint motion) meaning we are asking ICE and the court to terminate the removal. if ICE accept it they send that motion (after they approve it ) to the court it’s one time filling but it’s called joint the immigration court will take it from ICE if ICE approve it

i have a pending i-130 pd 06/22. i am waiting for approval before we can file joint motion to terminate removal. waiting time will be long. i will file i-485 same time . keeping fingers crossed
