Question about Applying for a job.
So hi, my EAd just got approved and I am planning to apply for a job. I have my SS card (I got it when I was still in J1 visa) I am married to USC. and I’m wondering if I can start working already. I just called SSA office for changing my name and to remove my J1 restriction on my SS card. So.. can I start working once I get my ead?

it’s approved already and card is being produced.
edit: they just mailed it to me. it will arrive soon

when you recive your EAD have along time it will take to recive your ss card.

why do you need ask for remove restrictions on your ssn? I thought since you have your EAD that was the permition

I didn’t know that if I have my greencard I can have my restriction removed. I’ll just wait for my greencard. and I want to change my last name also to my ssa card. cause I got it when I’m not yet married.
