Porting to a New Job
Hello,
I want to port to a new job in a different state but lawyer said I can only port to a job in the same state where my LCA was issued. Has anyone ported successfully to a different state? please share your experience.
my priority date is June 2021 and no interview yet. CRP since July 2023

that’s a lie, you can port anywhere as long as the job is in the same sec code

@Eb3 unskilled Well I ported to a New Job which was in different state & remote. It was under same SEC Code.

@deb guj well I just applied to one of the open position. Got interviewed & received the offer. As they were already going to do the H-1B transfer, so talked to manager about pending 485. So after I joined their immigration firm completed the I-485J and stumbled to USCIS.
