Police Certificate for Yemeni citizens

Hello everyone so I have a question about obtaining a police certificate for my spouse. They have lived in Yemen their entire life and we stayed in Egypt for only 7 months then we went back to our countries. I’m reading that they need a police certificate if they stayed over 6 months but I’m also reading that it is only for their country of residence.
So do I need to get a Egyptian police certificate or would the Yemeni one be enough? Thank you.

both police clearance are needed if she has stayed more than 6months in Yemen.

@rayan m I filed July 2025. didn’t hear anything back. I’m just trying to get all the files ready for the NVC.

I applied for my wife in Yemen , may 14 last year haven’t heard anything yet

I recommend you to find out what the procedure to obtain the PCs is and be ready. PC are valid only for a year! If you prepare too early, you will have to obtain a new one.

@rayan m I applied July 8th last year also. About to be 6 months. Nothing new. I guess we just have to be patient. I read it like 10-14 month wait. So we’re halfway their. I hope we hear something soon.
