If your current GC is still valid and will be valid by the time you return you are good to use it to travel in my opinion. If you have an expedired GC I think you need to apply for i131 Travel Document and expedite it. But these are just guessing from my point of view. You should check with an immigration attorney.

I lost my green card so i had to replace it but I really need to go to Tijuana for an emergency plus I couldn't get a job cause they need to see that am legal here thank you

@erika you can try going to your nearest uscis office or application support center and ask for them to provide you with a i551 stamp on your passport while you wait for tou physical green card. you can travel with that stamp it’s usually valid for a year

thank you I really appreciate your help it's so sad how I have been so stressed for all of this problem lost my job cause of my green card an now I cant even get my unemployment benefits I was denied because of me not having my green card thank you
