case status was stuck at visa number unavailable since May 2023. so more than two years been waiting. yesterday it was updated to finger prints applied to ur case (must have used my prints from the EAD extension I applied for and received in Dec 2024). I also proactively redid my medicals and sent a new one in December. since my medical might have not been valid given I submitted it back in Feb 2022. my case became current a few months back. maybe 4 months back.

Congratulations. How did u submit the medical without getting rfe?

I called up a local doctor who does USCIS examination. paid for it. got the results and couriered it to the USCIS address ( from where I got a letter saying they are pausing my application). I attached a covering note explaining the details and asked them to attach my updated medicals to my case number . they don’t confirm receipt of such things but it appears to have worked and saved me many months
