what's the deal with retrogression? my PD is June 2022 and still waiting to hear back. does that mean it will backtrack from November to October to September to July?

my PD is Oct 22 and current as of April. if mine is not approved by the time of retrogression, does it mean I will need to wait longer?

I’m also afraid that my case could be retrogressed. PD June 2022, Mexico.
Submitted in March 2023, already retrogressed once last year and current since Jan2024

if a green card number was allocated for any of you guys, you’ll get your green card although it’s retrogressed. 🙏
