NYC CASE - I485 GREEN CARD TIMELINE
Hey everyone! Just wanted to share my timeline. I know how frustrating this process can be so hopefully this info helps. Good luck to you all!
PD - November 27th, 2019
RFE - January 27th, 2020
Fingerprints were taken - February 7th, 2020
RFE Accepted - March 16th, 2020
Ready to be scheduled for an interview - April 7th, 2020
Social and work permit received in mail - May 20th, 2020
Interview was scheduled - March 19th, 2021
Interview Day - April 26th, 2021
New card is being produced - about 2 hours after interview
Our interview was at Federal Plaza in Manhattan. It lasted about 40 minutes or a bit less. The interviewing officer was very friendly. It felt more of a little chit chat than an interview. He swore us in and sat us down and basically just told us to tell him our story from the beginning. We then showed him our evidence. He asked me the yes or no questions on the form and finally he told us we have a great marriage and we’re approved.
I was very nervous because I heard lots of interview horror stories but it was nothing of the sort. You’ll be fine!
Not sure which card I’ll get; the temp or permanent. We’ve been married for 2 years 7 months.

Congrats! @Mimi Ella....I’m in NYC also, been on ready to be scheduled since 8/18/2020 my field office is also Queens so I guess maybe it’s summer before I probably hear anything. What was the RFE for?

I filed I 751 waiver in January 2019. my field office also queens. 790 day’s gone. still waiting for interview 😒

@kellz yes! I hope you hear from them soon! I don’t remember exactly because my husband dealt with that but it was for a document that we forgot to send in.
