I’ve received a message from nvc saying ‘case has been expedited due to child citizen act of 2000’ what does that mean? I never filed to expedite the case or anything

yes, they have expedited the case, I had the same for my daughter, they are required to take this action. which is good for u of coarse

when I received the expedite notice which was unexpected, I sent a email to the Embassy where our interview was to be scheduled and requested a appointment date as soon as possible with a copy of the expedite attached. I did get a immediate response back, stating that they would be sending us a appointment date me, then the Embassy shut down due to the Virus! but once the Embassy restarted they did send the interview date to us. Hopefully the virus issue is past. ur case will definitely be progressed ahead of many due to the expedite. Best of luck to u
