Shamondy, yesterday all I saw on the forums etc was 11 Jan DQs.. hopefully yours is imminent!

they’re usually a week ahead of published dates, so it’s always better to check what has happened in reality

Doing my best to remain positive and upbeat, but I have my days when I’m down. Hang in there.

it’s a real test of endurance, for sure.. especially when they make so many mistakes!

not sure what that is based on… my doc submitted date was back in October and they made an error. our attorney and cong rep are trying to fight it, but NVC is a fortress. thanks though

just saw a 12 Jan DQ. NVC seems to have stepped off the gas since last week… maybe they had an end of month sprint.

Documents Accepted, but they are requesting termination of previous marriage (documents they’ve already viewed and accepted). Now, I am beginning to believe they have just done a mass acceptance of all documents without reviewing them. How can you request the same documents you accepted? 🤦🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️

The crazy part of this is…….. there was no marriage 🤣🤣🤣🤣 it was void from beginning and I don’t have to have court order to prove. 🤷🏽‍♀️

The Case FE Review Note says, “ Please submit a marriage termination document between the Petitionaer and XXX. Please use our Document Finder at https://NVC.state.gov/find for acceptable documents guidelines.” My husband will have all documents necessary, but there is nothing to show a termination for something that did not happen. I’m printing out the criminal report that shows the perpetrators criminal charge and the date of the offense (the wedding date). I also have his mugshot with said date. I don’t know what more they want to prove marriage never happened between me and that guy🤣🤣🤣

they told you also to bring the document during the interview instead of asking to download it again?

No, they asked me to submit a document that shows “termination of marriage”. All documents, including those showing the void marriage, have been accepted.

I called and waited on the phone from 9:48 PM to 11 PM EST. I’m developing my email and will be resubmitting the same documents with an additional document.

if all docs are indicated as ‘accepted’ it is my understanding that you are fully DQ and will not be put back in line, even though they require additional docs. hope this is the case for you!

@Kathi. From what I read in the foreign affairs policy manual, “accepted” is not the same as “documentary qualified”. Aftet speaking with the NVC representative, they needed a written explanation. I asked if this would knock us backwards. She indirectly answered “the explanation has to be reviewed”. 🤷🏽‍♀️ I remain hopeful. I’ve done my part. God prevails!

I thought this was possible. I haven’t seen or heard anything. I do know that my status has changed back to “submit documents “ here on Lawfully.

Hello Everyone! No news on my resubmission. I’m guessing they will review again once they get to April 7, 2022 submissions🤦🏽‍♀️. Suggestion for all others waiting, “if it looks like it will need an explanation, go ahead and write an explanation to prevent delays.”🤷🏽‍♀️

I had not thought about that. I will do this. Do I simply ask to speak to a supervisor or do I need to speak to lower level first?

hi Shamondy: sorry to hear this! I’ve also heard that if uploading an explanation, make sure it’s added to Other documents only - apparently that keeps place in the queue. I’m trying to find out if that’s 100%

hi Shamondy anything they ask to upload will go back to the queue no matter the reason. I go back to the queue 2 times

@fd di I understand. But if I go back to que, it should be because of reasons I could have prevented but did not. In this matter, they failed to do their part. I will continue to at least “try” to make a difference. I’m a social worker in child protection, if I’ve learned nothing, I’ve learned to advocate! I will be making another call. I hope yours get qualified!

@shamondy I’m now in the same boat as you! all docs accepted 🥳 but with a note asking for copy of husband’s divorce decree (which they could have requested back in Feb… or required at the beginning of the process!). of course this was already provided to USCIS during our petition application.

no as we are not DQ yet. our attorney needs to fix this with NVC otherwise we have another 3 month wait.

we are trying to figure out who dropped the ball here. divorce decree is essential civil document for the interview, BUT there wasn’t an upload section for it in Required Documents. Those upload sections are created by NVC. My husband went ahead and uploaded to Additional docs last night. Additionally, our attorney has not once mentioned the need for this document. Only after checking online do we see that it’s mentioned on the NVC website. This is exactly why we hired an attorney, to avoid any basic errors when filing! in the end we will pay the price with my lost job offer due to this 3rd 3 month wait. (plus the continued emotional cost of love, stress and health issues).

it seems so right now… I’ve also checked the list of documents for interview that she sent, and there’s no mention of the divorce decree there, either!

@immi haven’t seen much updates on visa journey (I’m following up but we submitted paperwork to NVC on April 14th so we won’t get DQ before at least mid / end of June)

Kimmy, it varies depending on the queue at your embassy. They all have different amounts of traffic. perhaps you can check the website of your embassy or email them

Still waiting for Embassy to receive documents. If you have been DQ for a while, check NVC, or go to the embassy website and see if you are able to schedule the interview on your own (after documents DQ of course).
