keep checking on eoir everyday and night. many lawyers saying that people who got court date in 2027 2028 2029 are rescheduling for next week or for second week. so be careful keep checking everyday and keep checking each email or paper mail you receive.

may I ask when did u file? when also did u receive the NTA? also when did your VAWAgot approved ?

@alhamdullah Alhamdullah I filed 2022. I received a NTA 2025 . my vawa approved 2026 may.

i am currently going through this! i went to a court hearing last may 2025 court rescheduled to December 2028 filed an I-485 in june 2025 Had an Interview for a pending I-130 march this year Approved on the spot, No you do not have to wait til your court hearing. Lawyers have a way to get you a sooner court date if you case has a good opportunity at the approval from judge remember even if USCIS approves you Judge can still denie. maybe your lawyer doesn’t see a strong case yet and it wanting to wait for another administration to see if laws change and help you out more. my lawyer got me a court date for Nov 2026 🙏🙏 3 years sooner GOOD LUCK AND SPEAK WITH YOUR LAWYER MAYBE HE HAS A COURT DATE THIS YEAR THAT HE CAN SWAP FROM ANOTHER CLIENT( this is what my attorney did for me court and judge allowed it)

@ ko ka, you can file I 485 to the court and file a copy to the Texas service center because if you are adjusting via immigration court, u must a file a copy to the Texas service center to get a receipt from them because the judge will ask if you file a copy to the Texas service center before he or she can adjust your status in court. After you have done that, your lawyer can file a motion to the judge for earlier date in court to adjust your status. Your should reference the approved vawa in the motion, medical records ready, just only need a quicker date to adjust with the judge. That was how I did mine 3 years ago. The judge granted our motion for earlier date and adjusted my status in court within 30 minutes based on approved vawa.
