yes 3 year marriage, and no he wasn’t there.

did you wait to get your i751 or did you file n400 while 751 was still pending. and what’s your advice on filing 400 while 751 is still pending

I filed I75i in January 2021 and got in April 2021, filed N400 in February 2022.

@ola bb, ok I thought spouse must be there for N400 interview. Thanks for the information.

I think Spouve should be there if it’s a combo interview (751 and 400) cus they have to approve the 751 before 400. your spouse being there will make it easy for you as they wouldn’t have to reschedule another interview for 751 which could take months.

@halee azeez, I got my 10yrs GC today, my N400 I filed in December 2021 based on 3 years marriage is still under processing.

so u didn’t have a combo interview, that can be a good thing sometimes.

I’ll be eligible to file 400 in June, based on 3 years rule. some people say to wait and others say to file. u think I should just file n400 if 751 is still pending?

@halee I wasn’t even called for interview. Approved and 10 years card sent without interview.

@dayo tutu, you don’t need spouse for the n400, u can take them for moral support though, but they wouldn’t be called in the interview room with you. u got this.

@halee I filed N400 while I-751 was still pending at YSC, after filing N400, my file was transferred from YSC to NBC in February 2022. Then my card got approved without interview.

I think I’ll just file n400 when I’m eligible. no point waiting.

@halee, my I-751 took 532 days. File N400 when you are eligible, it might trigger your I-751 to be approved quickly without interview or you have a combo interview.

@Ola, what documents did you take to the interview

@chinchin I took all documents which I had front loaded - marriage certificate, leases, bank documents etc. but during the interview not one document was requested. Only my green card. We went straight to testing.
