Has anyone been in a situation where they applied for naturalization and it was denied because USCIS is stating that their green card was granted in error? How did you overcome this obstacle?
My dad is getting ready to apply for his naturalization, but 10 years ago he was denied due to this situation. Now we’re not sure if he should re apply or just continue to renew his green card. Any insight is appreciated! Thank you!

Answer the question to know how help bcos I've been denied twice shifting reasons for denials after further digging at every defence.

something about overstaying his visa for a day and his lawyer from back then filing for naturalization when he wasn’t eligible.

we have a new lawyer who recommends just renewing it every 10 years because if he applies for citizenship there is a possibility they might have him go back to his home country and re-apply for green card through a sponsor.
