Vawa cases started to be sent to Nebraska from April 2024, before that all vawa were sent to Vermont. It's not by choice. As per today only Vermont & Nebraska Service Center adjudicate vawa.

i totally get you, a lot of us didnt know much about this process in the beginning and got burnt one way or the other. i myself had to change lawyer after spending 9k. the only thing we can do is look forward. Praying for speedy approvals for us even despite all the current happenings

my process start 2019 lawyer mess up mine too waste of money then had to start back 2023

I was in the same boat. I got a lawyer in 2020 she messed up my whole document, in 2021 my 485 was rejected and reason was payment. I told her she bluntly told me No. After months of waiting I asked her to check the returns document. Reluctantly she did and told me my bad. I applied again gave her the money she charged me for the same thing. she took out the biometric money claiming that I already did it. uscis returned all my forms. I thank God to my address. I went through it and saw series of mistakes and errors. I have to cancel the form and filed a new form because there was a lot of mistakes. Today I have my Green card. I did everything myself.
