LA FIELD OFFICE- no update
Hi everyone, is anyone else with a PD of 11/21 whose case was transferred to the LA Field Office? My case was transferred there 40 days ago, even though LA is not my local field office. I haven’t had an interview yet, and I’m expecting a medical RFE. My EAD, AP, and I-485J are already approved, but there hasn’t been any movement on my I-485.
I’m thinking about submitting a service request because I’ve heard it can sometimes help. Do you think that’s a good idea, or should I wait since it takes about a month to get a response and I might receive the medical RFE by then? I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone in a similar situation. Thanks! #I-485 #unskilled #losangelesfieldoffice

@Eb3 other my case is in LA too. PD Nov 21. I got my service request response a week ago, they said case is awaiting for review. my case was transferred to LA on 06/17/26. no any update since then

My PD is Dec 2021 in LA office as well. No updates but last month when I asked Emma They told me LA office is processing for cases received on 9/2022. this was live agent reply:
The case is located at the Los Angeles Field Office. For the request. The system will not allow us to submit the request.
The reason is due to. As of now they are working on cases that were recieved on 09/26/2022. Your case was recieved on
01/30/2023. There is no time frame in between these dates. We can only advise to contact us in a few months to see how this is moving.

@Retro PD we have similar dates.. so i guess i may receive similar response as yours if i do service request now…

@Jasper amal wait so they are working on cases that it arrieved in September of 2022 at LA offices? if our case arrived last month in 2026, then we are subjected to wait even though our PD is current? are you sure she did not say 9/21?

@eb3nanny lol I dont think that means it arrived I beleive it means filed on 09/22 I filed mine on jan 2023. you can ask Emma that is what I got told I copied and pasted the exact message because I wasnt able to post screenshot.

@Retro PD @Jasper amal i just chatted with the agent again, she said my case is under review. it was received at la on 6/23/2026. i am expecting rfe for my medical and the agents are still saying my case is processing normally and there is nothing outstanding at this time. this is just so frustrating 🙈🙈🙈

My case was transferred to the LA Field Office in February 2026. I received an RFE in March, responded to it, and USCIS confirmed they received my response. PD is current, but there have been no updates on my case since then.
