K1 expedite approved but with a catch
hello everyone.
my expedite request for I-129f K1 petition got approved and it’s been 11 days since, because my fiancé is in Ukraine and with the whole situation that’s in there is just terrible. From lawfully and other K1 communities I saw that others that have their fiancés in Ukraine got their expedites approved also and even after couple days got their NOA2 decision.
I have contacted USCIS and I asked them why it’s taking so long for my case to receive decision and they said basically that they even cant guarantee those 45 days period that my case gonna get NOA2. but they said that they are prioritizing those ukrainian cases.so that that kinda inhumane if you ask me, why then even have expedite if they can’t guarantee that they gonna approve petiton throughout those 45 days.
So what’s your guys timeframe since your expedite got approved and then your NOA2 decision for K1 visa? thank you!

I’m Ukrainian and April 12, and Uscis didn’t give me expedite! so you are already lucky! looks like it a lottery 😔 and Uscis approving Russian expedite because they have problems with banks cards or depression! that’s not fair! 🤬 how they can approve them expedite and cases?!
jennifer jay19 de mar de 2022
can someone tell me how i can do expedite
jennifer jay19 de mar de 2022
how i can do it
Morgan J19 de mar de 2022
@louis call uscis and say “infopass” to talk to someone. you have to have a reason and evidence like financial loss, family death, health

My case is an April 16 and I am not yet approved
kene Alex19 de mar de 2022
I am in Ukraine and my expedite request was denied. April 21 filer, you got lucky.
Oleh K19 de mar de 2022
@kene I had to call them 3 times to do expedite and they didn’t approve for me for those 3 times. I even spoke with tier 2 officer but the guy said that everyone wants to speed up their cases also, where I was shocked because of the situation in Ukraine how dare he would say that. on the 4th time I did expedite through Ema chat bot they connect to a live person later after you state what you want to do. keep requesting expedite my man.
Oleh K19 de mar de 2022
@kene are you Ukrainian?
Oleh K19 de mar de 2022
@Julia yes it feels like it’s a lottery to me too. if you get a genuine person on the other side of the phone who cares about your tragedy that’s happening right now in Ukraine you might get lucky and they approve the expedite.
plus even with approved expedite they don’t guarantee that the case is gonna get approved from what I found out chatting with the Uscis center person.

no, but was reside there until the war, now in Germany.
Oleh K20 de mar de 2022
I understand that. well if there’s millions that live in war zones then expedite your case. I don’t think poverty is a reason for expedite approvals.

and for a record USA doesn’t have any refugee programs yet for what’s happening in Ukraine like they did for Afghan citizens and others in the past. so I don’t see how USA is being equal here for everyone.

well my expedite case is approved and I’m not speaking out of emotions. I don’t like that even with expedite approval they don’t guarantee that throughout 45 days they will give me a decision on my case. so why even give people an option to expedite the case? it’s is in place to make the case processing faster based on their criteria that they specified. which I am satisfying those criteria.
well TPS is for Ukrainians that are already in USA, so I don’t see how they helping people who are in Ukraine. many counties like Canada and even Australia have some sort of refugee programs for Ukrainians already.

my man are you employee from USCIS by any chance ? I’m not trashing them I’m saying how f*ed up the system is and inhumane. I’m not trying to get my relatives here I’m trying to get my fiancé, where legally I already been waiting for 338 days. I know that USA is helping with money and guns but as so any country that that sees what Putin does is wrong and bad and if Ukraine falls he doesn’t stop and can attach any other EU country. But other EU country have some sort of refugee programs also so why USA doesn’t have one too? people might think thet USA doesn’t welcome refugees here. And look I’m not trying to argue with you just saying what I don’t like how USA handles imigration and I have all right to do so. oh trust me we do trash Russian institution and government.

well I’m an immigrant as well. and how long do we have to wait to get the refugee application approved? a year? 6 months? by the time they approve it it can be too late. give a refugee a right to work? so they can pay taxes, a right to go to school etc. Good for you.
