i got this from google if its not already done What happens after my I-129F (K-1 fiancé) petition is approved? the case gets passed to NVC who will check docs and do background checks on US citizen. this takes average 1-2 mnths. then they will pass to relevant country embassy who will contact foreign fiance regarding interview and what docs they need to bring to interview
