It has been a long journey for our family but finally we got it! We got RFE in June and responded by mid August. Today we got the approval

what was the RFE about?

RFE was about many items: Not sufficient information on substantial merit and national importance as well as on whether the applicant is well positioned to propose the proposed endavour. I had to rewrite the statement basically and got at least 6 new recommendations. I think the recommendations and the fact that I was already working on my area of expertise really helped my case. Plus, I had around publications.
