hi Larry , it is possible but the niw depends upon the advanced masters degree and expertise in an area that is of national interest

NIW do not have to fill J form. Since its not pinned to one job. Some people fill it anyway and send it. But if u have a lawyer he will respond with fire.

I have received an rfe from uscis

that I must submit supplemental j1 although it is not required for Niw

what you think would be the best possible way to address this rfe .

Quote their law which state that you r not suppose to submit j supplement. Or if not i can play dump n fill it

clearly mentions that no offer of employment is required

@Sami Thanks for the response, I have a LLB outside of the US and work for a top Investment Bank, not sure LLB (JD equivalent ) qualifies as advanced degree. just in the middle of decision making, is it worth it to get a Masters for this purpose?

I am actually not sure about JD , but you can send your cv to Ellis porter or Chen lawyer for free evaluation

they can give you a good idea about suitability of the degree for the NiW program

I've seen cases here in the app where people send the simplement j and get approved within a week

so if you can just fill and send it, you can make a letter addressing politely that although you are not requested to do it you are still sending it

You don't need Supplement J for NIW. Check with your lawyer too. You can also write a letter explaining to them it's not needed for NIW
