i sent mine on August 2020 also… by Feb I requested an expedite, they requested evidence, I sent they denied… after calling them nonstop and also the congressman they finally issued on July 2021. a few days before the extension was going to expire. so annoying 😞 I’m sorry you lost your job, at least is good for 2 years now. hope you get your interview soon.

I applied in April almost 8 months still eating it is my initial work permits

@Jessica you did the right thing on right time.. but I waited bit long also my case is EAD renewal and I had 180 days extension which expired in july..then I did inquire twice and finally approached congressman after seeing all the forums

@james hi! it’s family based. all the Work permits/travel authorizations (EAD cards) are being issued with 2 years now. I think they started doing this last June/July (not sure) and yes, my new one is valid for 2 years
