how long after bio did you get your interview appointment? where is your office?

why do we need affidavits when we have photos with family members

pictures can be altered- (photoshopped)- affidavits with signatures and phone numbers makes it more real to the IO and if it’s signed from your priest as well that makes your marriage bona fide

you’re looking for any and all things to prove your marriage is bona fide - our IO didn’t even look at our pictures because I handed the affidavits to him and he didn’t pursue the pictures after that because the affidavits for him proved my marriage is real

we were approved on the spot- although we had to provide 1 last thing and that was my divorce paper with it being certified- the one I had with me in the interview was a copy not an original- so I had to mail it in- it took an additional 3 months- as soon as it was entered into the system green card produced-did you have your interview already ausher Faisal

does affidavits should be from US citizens and greencard holder only or it can be from anyone?

thanks @Ak yes I have an interview coming up though I haven’t received the notice yet but when I checked on my uscis case updates, it showed interview scheduled.

Sur o affidavits from anyone who can confirm they know you and they know you are married- your in laws from overseas - your bank tellers- your hairdresser - your job- anyone US citizen LPR your siblings in my case my mom and children who are over 20 years old your priest- make sure their phone number and photo ID confirming who they are is included- the more you have to prove your marriage is bona fide the better for you- I know this is a process in itself but you have one chance in that interview to prove it so be over prepared - hope that helps you

and the one thing I can say to everyone who says they’re nervous- don’t be I wasn’t - I’ll be honest if the IO were to ask me something and my husband had a different response I would have to agree with my husbands answer because I forget things super easy and a lot- haha my IO did get mad at us and yelled at us at the top of his lungs but that didn’t change my attitude or mood I continued on with the interview
