We want to address the recent confusion around case status notifications. Earlier today, USCIS appears to have made a bulk update that changed many case statuses to a message indicating that the case is still being processed, even though the update date remained the same.
Specifically, it looks like USCIS updated the title of one of its existing status messages, changing "Case Is Being Actively Reviewed By USCIS" to "Case ls Still Being Processed By USCIS.'
While the meaning is largely the same, this change in wording is treated as a new message by our system, which is why you may have received a new notification even if there was no real update to your case.
