I filed for VAWA in 2022
I feel sad today because my son will be aging out by Dec 2024 .I did put his birth certificate in my GC application although I did not file together with my application. Is there a possibility that he can be given a GC when I file for him once my VAWA is approved?

I read that there is something about freezing his age, I don’t exactly remember but consist of him being consider for adjustment based on when you applied and the age his was at that moment. talk to a lawyer asap

If you listed him in your VAWA application his age will be frozen until you get a decision.

Can family members be included in my self-petition?
When you file a VAWA self-petition, you may be able to include some of your close relatives as “derivatives.” If the abuser is your spouse, you may be able to include your children who are under 21 and unmarried at the time of filing your petition. If the abuser is your parent, you may be able to include your children who are under 21 and unmarried at the time of filing your petition. If the abuser is your adult child, you cannot include other relatives as derivatives.
