I'd fire him and hire a new lawyer. That's what I had to do to get my ting going. Now I'm currently waiting on gc.

@African s I’ve already paid the full fee. I’m not sure if switching lawyers would require me to pay the new lawyer as well. This issue seems to stem from USCIS, and I’m uncertain how changing lawyers would resolve the situation. I do agree with you that this lawyer is very irresponsible—he’s not answering calls or providing proper responses. We’re really struggling here, and it’s frustrating. What should we do?

file a mandamus lawsuit. the lawyer is wasting your time, it’s been 6 years for you while 2021 & 2022 filers are getting moving. that’s a very long wait. the inquiry with uscis won’t work if they lost your application or part of it. mandamus lawsuit will get your case resolved in 90 days, you can tell the lawyer to file it because you’re tired of waiting (don’t take no as an answer) , or use google & chatgpt to file it yourself. I hope you’re able to get your case resolved
