Hello, I have a question regarding the I-864, So basically there is a petitioner and joint sponsor. Now the joint sponsor must upload tax returns and proof of funds. my question is if the petitioner doesn’t pay taxes or hasn’t in a very long time what should they do. Because on the i864 the is a section for that. I know the petitioner still has to fill out an I-864 but I want to know if they also still have to upload everything else regarding the financial part. I’d really appreciate it if someone could help me out. Thank you.

you’d have to find someone that pays tax because they need it they have to see how much money they make to know if they qualify to sponsor and if you not meeting the income to support you they will deny you
